Parkland College and Cumberland College don’t have a CEO right now, but that could change in the near future.
The Task Force on Regional College Efficiency made a recommendation the two schools form a coalition, meaning a shared President/CEO and a single Board of Governors.
“The two colleges are taking a shared leadership role in developing a future path for the regional college system in in Saskatchewan,” said Corinna Stevenson, Cumberland College Board Chair in a statement.
A joint steering committee will lead the search for the shared CEO position with a target hire date set for April 30, 2019.
“The priority is to maintain our local presence and provide high quality education for adults in our region,” said Raymond Sass, Board Chair of Parkland College in the same release. “In times of change, it’s essential to be open and transparent. We are committed to updating our students, staff, and the community throughout the process.”
