Saskatchewan canola producers will need to pay more attention to clubroot prevention. Visible signs of the canola disease have been found in 37 fields in the northern growing region, with the majority of those cases from this year. The Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture recently completed an extensive survey to get a better handle on clubroot levels and distribution. Soil samples are being analyzed and there could be additional cases. A clubroot distribution map will be released late this year or in early 2019.
