Stats Canada crunched the numbers on the unemployment rate for October.
In Saskatchewan, the rate was 6.2 per cent, slightly down from 6.4 in September, while Manitoba’s was up to 6.1 per cent from 5.8.
The national rate went down to 5.8 from 5.9 per cent in September.
For full-time employment for the month of October, Saskatchewan gained 57-hundred jobs, while Manitoba gained a little more with 59-hundred. The country as a whole gained 33-thousand 900 jobs last month.
When it comes to year-over-year employment, from last October to this October, Saskatchewan gained 96-hundred jobs, while Manitoba gained 31-hundred.
