Highway 19 through Riding Mountain National Park will be temporarily closed from this Wednesday (5th) to November 21 for culvert installations.
The highway from Lake Katherine to Rolling River Road will be closed for the first part of the project, then Rolling River Road to the East Gate will be closed for the second part.
Parks Canada says the road closure will allow work to be done quicker and increase safety for the public and work crews. It will also improve the safety and reliability of highway infrastructure by reducing the chances of road washouts and overland flooding.
Signage will be posted at the entrances to Highway 19 to notify drivers.
