After just 2 wins in their first 24 games, the Yorkton Rawtec Maulers (SMAAAHL) have made some changes to their coaching staff.
The board of directors of hockey club have announced they’ve relieved Head Coach/GM Kevin Rawlick and Associate Coach Jason Gordon of their duties.
Assistant Coach Dalane Lamb will take as Interim Head Coach.
“As a board, we just felt like we are needed to go in a different direction, and part of that direction involved some coaching changes and staff changes, and we would like to thank Kevin & Jason for everything they’ve done for the organization”, Mauler President Greg Donnelly said in a phone interview this morning (Fri)
Rawlick was in his 2nd full season as Head Coach/GM after he took over on an interim basis during the 2016/17 season.
Donnelly also adds that the board of directors & others will come together to move forward in search of their new Head Coach, General Manager and Director of Player Personnel, but there is no timetable right now to fill those positions on a full time basis.
The club currently sits with a 2-18-0-4 record through 24 games in their Saskatchewan Midget AAA hockey league season and their next game will be on Saturday night when they host the Saskatoon Contacts at the Farrell Agencies Arena.
