The Rosetown Fire Department lost one of their own this morning (Wed).
46-year-old Darrell Morrison was helping at the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 4, north of Rosetown, when he was struck by a passing semi.
Life saving efforts were made by his colleagues and was transferred to hospital but Morrison died a short time later. His family has been notified.
On Twitter, the Yorkton Fire Department said its flying their flag at half mast for Morrison, and offered condolences to the family.
The two vehicle crash was between two semis; one was turning north onto the Highway when it was hit by another semi going south, but nobody was hurt.
