A new development, in the case of one of three men arrested in connection with a random assault in Yorkton last fall.
On October 20th, two teenagers were attacked by three men, who had jumped out of a van in an alley near Doctor Brass School.
At his trial in Yorkton Provincial Court this (THURS) morning, 27-year-old Dustin Venne, who had previously pled “not guilty,” changed his plea, admitting to Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
Venne, who has been in custody since October 20th, was sentenced to time served, given a five-year firearm prohibition, and must provide a DNA sample.
A second suspect, 20-year-old Wade Genaille, is serving a nine-month jail sentence, after pleading guilty in October, while the third person charged, Roger Keshane, will return to court on Monday (7th).
