Mils; Cardinals drop Sunday WCBL decisions

The Melville Millionaires and Yorkton Cardinals both dropped Sunday games in the Western Canadian Baseball League.

In Melville,

The Regina Red Sox used a 4 run 8th inning to power them to a 7-3 victory over the Millionaires.

Evan Moore went 2 for 4 to lead the way offensively for the Moneymen while Tanner Solomon allowed just one run on 5 hits while striking out 10 in 6 innings of work for Melville but was tagged with the loss.

The Mils have Monday off before visiting the Moose Jaw Miller Express on Tuesday.

In Moose Jaw,

The Moose Jaw Miller Express scored 6 runs in the 2nd and 7 more in the 3rd to lead them to a 16-8 victory over the Yorkton Cardinals at Ross Wells Park.

Matthew Korman and Gage Buck led the way for the Cards with 3 hits each.

The Cardinals also are idle on Monday before they host the Swift Current 57’s on Tuesday night.
