Saskatchewan Cabinet Minister on Asian Trade Mission

Saskatchewan’s Trade and Export Development minister is on a six-day trade mission to Japan and South Korea.
Jeremy Harrison is part of a Canadian delegation aimed at efforts to expand existing agri-food markets following China’s refusal to buy more Canadian canola.
Harrison says southeast Asia is an important market for Saskatchewan’s agri-food exports.
Last year, Japan was Saskatchewan’s third largest market, purchasing over 1.1 billion dollars worth of agri-food products, while shipments to South Korea reached over 117 million dollars.
