Melville Man Gets Jail Sentence

A Melville man, charged with numerous offences, after an April 16th standoff with Mounties near Balcarres, has made another court appearance.
In Fort Qu’Appelle Provincial Court yesterday (Mon), the charges against 35-year-old Christopher Miller, stemming from that incident, were stayed by the Crown.
However, he pleaded guilty to two unrelated charges – one count each, of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Failure to Attend Court.
On those charges, he received 30 days in jail, to be followed by 172 days of probation.
