Preeceville Man Gets 10 Years in Prison for Sexual Assault

A Preeceville man has admitted to a serious sexual assault in that community.
Police say in December of 2017, a woman and her child were in their Preeceville residence, when a masked man, armed with a firearm, broke in, and sexually assaulted the woman.
In Yorkton Provincial Court this (Wed) afternoon, 20-year-old Shawn Pasiechnik pleaded guilty to Break and Enter to Commit a Sexual Assault, Pointing a Firearm, Wearing a Mask to Commit an Offence, and Using a Firearm to Commit an Offence.
He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but was given credit for 224 days already served in custody.
He must also provide a DNA sample, abide by a lifetime firearm prohibition, and he will be placed on the National Sex Offender Registry for the rest of his life.
