Growers in Manitoba have not had to contend with a lot of disease pressure so far this year.

Manitoba Agriculture crop specialist Dane Froese says it has left some producers questioning the economic payoff of fungicide applications.

Froese says soil moisture conditions around Dauphin are short; the Swan River area is 40% adequate, 50% short and 10% very short.

Soil moisture reserves around Roblin are reported as adequate.
