Saskatchewan’s 23rd Lieutenant Governor Officially Sworn In

The 23rd Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan was sworn in this morning (Thursday) in Regina.
Russell Mirasty was introduced to his new position at Government House and takes over from Thomas Molloy, who died earlier this month.
Premier Scott Moe, who was a part of the swearing-in ceremony, says this appointment is well deserved.
Born and raised in La Ronge, Mirasty served as the Commanding Officer for the Saskatchewan RCMP at the rank of Assistant Commissioner before retiring in 2013.
