Brandon Man Returns to Court After Violent Incident in Russell

A new court date has been set, for a Brandon man charged in connection with a violent incident in Russell last month.
Russell RCMP say they were called on the afternoon of June 24th, to a report of a 56-year-old man being assaulted, threatened, and having some of his belongings stolen.
While officers were on scene, the suspect returned and began to hit the windows of the police vehicle in an attempt to break them.
The man resisted arrest, so Mounties had to use a taser to subdue him.
While being held in the Russell RCMP cell block, the suspect caused damage there as well.
39-year-old Michael Man faces numerous charges and has been remanded in custody, with his next appearance set for July 24th, in Russell Provincial Court.
