Cattle Producers Welcome New Tax Deferral

Cattle producers in Saskatchewan are applauding the federal livestock tax deferral for sales due to drought this year.
The livestock tax deferral map covers the southern two-thirds of the Saskatchewan grain belt.
The manager of the Saskatchewan Stock Growers, Chad MacPherson, welcomes the early announcement for the tax deferral:
The federal criteria for regions for livestock tax deferral are forage shortfalls of 50 percent or more caused by drought or excess moisture.
