Charges Laid Following Fatal Pedestrian/Vehicle Collision on Piapot First Nation

RCMP arrested and charged a 43-year-old woman from the Piapot First Nation after a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle.
On Saturday (Aug. 24), a vehicle struck a 33-year-old man who was later pronounced dead upon arrival at a Regina hospital.
Leah Pratt of the Piapot First Nation is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and criminal negligence causing death.
She made her first appearance in Regina Provincial Court this morning (Mon) and remains in custody for Wednesday (Aug. 28).
