Saskatchewan’s Lieutenant Governor to be Officially Installed

Premier Scott Moe says Saskatchewan’s 23rd Lieutenant Governor, Russ Mirasty, will be formally installed during a ceremony at the Legislature next Thursday.
Mirasty, who served with the RCMP from 1976 to 2013 and was “F” division Commanding Officer, was born and raised in La Ronge, and is Saskatchewan’s first Indigenous Lieutenant Governor.
Mirasty was appointed by the federal government to replace W. Thomas Molloy, who passed away on July 2nd.
