Attempted Scam in Montmartre Concerning SaskPower

Indian Head RCMP is warning the public to be vigilant, after an apparent scam artist tried to strike in Montmartre.
On September 3rd, Mounties say a Caucasian male, wearing a lanyard with I.D. card attached, went to the door of a Montmartre residence, identifying himself as a SaskPower employee, saying that he had gotten an email, requesting repairs of lights, outlets, and switches in the house.
The homeowners denied the man entry, and after saying he made a mistake, sped away in a brown SUV, marked with SaskPower logos.
SaskPower says the man was not sent to the home by them, reminding the public that all vehicles in their fleet are white, and that the work this individual said he was to perform, is not done by SaskPower employees.
