Saskatchewan farmers now have 69% of this year’s crops in the bin.
That’s up from 55% last week, but still trails the 5 year average for this time of year of 88%.
Saskatchewan Agriculture crop specialist Shannon Friesen says farmers in our east central region now have 51% of crops combined, up from 39% last week.
Many areas of the province received moisture last week, with the Moosomin area reporting the most.
Across the province, topsoil moisture conditions on cropland are rated as 19 per cent surplus, 77 per cent adequate and four per cent short.
