385 social and central service workers in Saskatchewan have voted 94% in favour of strike action to back contract demands.

The workers, members of CUPE, are in 12 communities across Saskatchewan in group homes and as government social workers.

While a strike mandate has been given, they are not in a legal strike position.

Wages and working conditions are the main issues.
