A big scholarship was announced by the National Hockey League, the Calgary Flames and Winnipeg Jets. As part of the celebrations with the 2019 Heritage Classic in Regina, the league and the franchises are investing 300 thousand dollars into the Hockey Is For Everyone scholarship for both the U of R and U of S, for one female and one male hockey student at each school starting next year.
