Update on Improvements to Health Care in the Swan Valley

Efforts continue to expand and improve health care facilities in the Swan Valley.
Medical service committee chairman Duane Whyte says the big focus at the moment, is on ensuring there is ample space for both physicians and new equipment.
He says a new CT scanner would cost about one million dollars, to go along with the cost of preparing space in the Swan River Hospital for the new unit.
Whyte adds the committee and town council hope to meet with Manitoba Health Minister Cameron Friesen in late November, to discuss the CT scanner campaign.
