Sask. Gets Intervener Status In A Pipeline Case

Intervener status has been given to the province of Saskatchewan in the upcoming appeal of the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion. Ottawa twice approved the plan, but the Federal Court of Appeal tore up the original approval last year, citing insufficient environmental review and inadequate Indigenous consultations. The province supports the federal government’s position that the multi-billion-dollar expansion was properly approved.
