Concern Over Emergency Room Backlogs in Regina and Saskatoon

The opposition in the Saskatchewan legislature is pushing for a comprehensive plan to deal with a growing backlog of treatment in hospital emergency rooms.
Opposition health critic Vicki Mowat says wait times in Regina and Saskatoon have jumped 20 percent this year.
Health Minister Jim Reiter says major steps are being taken to resolve the emergency room backlog.
The NDP adds a recent death in Saskatoon was a result of the long wait time at a hospital, but Reiter says care was not the cause of death.
