Expect To Pay More For Groceries/Restaurant Meals

Consumers can expect to pay an extra 500 dollars on groceries and restaurant meals in 2020. The lead author of the annual Canada Food Price Report, Sylvain Charlebois, says the increase is due to higher cost of meat, seafood, fruits and vegetables in the coming year. The report says the average family of four is expected to spend 12 thousand 667 dollars on food and restaurant meals in 2020.
