Muscowpetung Robbery Suspect Appears in Court

One of three men charged after numerous robberies on the Muscowpetung First Nation, has a new court date.
21-year-old Michael Obey, of Regina, was back in court Friday, on several charges, including Armed Robbery, and he remains in custody, with his next appearance set for Thursday.
His co-accused, 25-year-old Jarrett Poitras, of the Muscowpetung First Nation, remains in custody, with a preliminary hearing set for February 3rd, while a third suspect – 27-year-old Jere Pinacie – is still wanted by police.
On March 4th, RCMP say a convenience store on the reserve was robbed of money and tobacco products, and then on July 23rd, the same store was robbed, and a home on the reserve was broken into.
