1.5 Million Litres Of Oil Spilled In The C.P Derailment

The Transportation Safety Board says about 1.5 million litres of oil was lost in a Canadian Pacific Railway freight train derailment and fire on highway 16 between Plunkett and Guernsey this week. 33 oil tank cars and one hopper car derailed, and about 20 were breached, spilling product that became engulfed in flames that burned for about 24 hours. No one was hurt, and no waterways were affected.
