Melville City Council Approves Two Individuals to Continue Wildlife and Pest Control within the Community

Two individuals have been given approval by Melville City Council to discharge a firearm within city limits to help get rid of any nuisance wildlife.

Pests include gophers, rats, mice, coyotes, beavers and pigeons, crows, magpies, ravens, skunks, muskrats, foxes grackles, squirrels, racoons and badgers.

With City Council’s approval, Don Mihaichuk and Lin Orosz can obtain a special license from the Ministry of Environment.

The total number of pests eradicated between 2015 and 2019 is 1680.
