Yorkton Boy Sentenced to Jail for Violent Offences

A 16-year-old has been sentenced to jail time, for two violent incidents in Yorkton early last year.
In Yorkton Provincial Court this (Fri) morning, the boy, who can’t be named due to his age, received 10 months of open custody at a youth facility, to be followed by 5 months of community supervision.
Last January, he was involved in a Robbery With a Firearm behind the Loaf ‘N’ Jug.
Then, on February 19th, the boy got into an altercation, striking the victim in the face with a “bong”, which required several stitches.
