Former NBA player Kobe Bryant has died in a helicopter crash, according to multiple media outlets.
He was 41.
Bryant played 20 seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, from 1996 to 2016, winning 5 NBA Championships and sits 4th all-time in career points.
He was reportedly traveling with at least three other people in his private helicopter, in California, when a fire broke out.
Reports also say Bryant’s second-eldest daughter, Gianna “Gigi” Bryant, who was 13, was also killed in the crash along with another player and a parent.
Five people have been confirmed dead and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
Update: Reports have updated Gianna to be the second eldest daughter, not the eldest.
