UPDATE: Nine People, Including Kobe Bryant, Daughter, Killed in Helicopter Crash

More information is coming in regarding a helicopter crash in California Sunday, which killed all 9 people on board, including former NBA star Kobe Bryant.

Multiple reports confirmed Bryant was flying to the Mamba Academy in Thousand Oaks, California to coach his daughter, 13-year-old Gianna “Gigi” Bryant, and her team in a basketball tournament, when the crash occurred.

Gianna was also on board the helicopter.

After hearing news of the crash, all of the games at the tournament were cancelled.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway, and the LAPD said weather conditions Sunday morning did not meet minimum standards for flying, mainly because it was foggy.

The L.A. Fire Chief said the crash caused a 1/4 acre bush fire.

Kobe Bryant played his entire 20 NBA season career with the Los Angeles Lakers, from 1996 to 2016, winning 5 NBA titles, was an 18 time all-star and sits 4th all-time in career points.
