RCMP are advising a train derailment has closed highway 16 in both directions, along with the junction of highway 20, near Guernsey. It’s not known what the train was hauling, or how many cars were involved, but one person says flames were seen in the area. In December, over a million litres of oil was lost after 33 oil tank cars and one hopper car derailed, along Highway 16 between Guernsey and Plunkett.
