Mediated bargaining is scheduled to start today for Federated Co-Op and Unifor. The two sides have 20 days to reach an agreement before well known mediator Vince Ready makes a recommendation. Ready, who has helped settle labour disputes for decades was appointed by the province last week. Both Unifor and Co-op said they were happy with this move as the lockout at the Co-op Refinery approaches it’s third month. Unifor employees were locked out December 5th.
