Man Who Admitted to Yorkton Murder has his Jail Sentence Confirmed

A youth sentence review was held today (Thu) for one of two people, who admitted to a 2016 murder in Yorkton.
A 20-year-old Keeseekoose First Nation man, who can’t be named because he was 16 at the time of the offence, applied to have his sentence changed from closed custody to open custody.
However, the judge denied his request.
In the late night hours of September 12th, 2016, two boys attacked 67-year-old Lawrence Skoretz at Jaycee Beach, stomping his head and chest area, breaking some of his ribs, and rupturing his spleen.

Skoretz tried to crawl home, but succumbed to his injuries.
