Manitoba Launches Court Challenge of Federal Carbon Tax

The Manitoba government has launched a court challenge over the federal carbon tax.
Premier Brian Pallister says it’s potentially a billion dollar court challenge.
In making the announcement this (Fri) morning, Pallister says the over $800 million investments made in hydro generation in his province are in a way a carbon tax.
Saskatchewan and Ontario will have their constitutional challenges of the tax heard in the Supreme Court next month, while the Alberta Court of Appeal ruled this week the tax was unconstitutional.
