Arrest Warrant Issued for Punnichy-District Man

A Punnichy-district man facing several charges in connection with a vehicle theft in Regina late last year, missed a scheduled court appearance.

On December 10th, 38-year-old George Longman, of the Punnichy district, and 30-year-old Chantelle Bird, of Regina, were arrested after the vehicle’s owner contacted On-Star, who immobilized it, allowing police to make the arrests.
Longman failed to appear in Regina yesterday (Thu), and the judge issued a bench warrant.
On January 28th, Bird plead guilty to Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and was sentenced to 99 days in jail, to be followed by 18 months of probation.
