Sentencing Adjourned For A Virden Man Charged With Manslaughter

Sentencing has been adjourned, in the case of a Virden man, who pled guilty to charges of Manslaughter and Uttering Threats, in connection with a January 2019 death in that community, along with a separate charge of Assaulting a Peace Officer.
At his appearance on Friday (20th), in Virden, 23-year-old Bradley Kenneth Tomms was remanded in custody to May 8th, for sentencing.
The charges stem from an altercation on January 15, 2019, at a home in Virden, involving a 22-year-old Virden man and a 27-year-old man from the Canupawakpa First Nation, that sent both men to hospital, with serious injuries.
RCMP were notified the next day, that the 27-year-old man died of his injuries.
