A 28-year-old Regina man remains in custody, on charges stemming from a weekend police chase in the Balcarres area.
At about 6 o’clock Sunday (22nd) night, Mounties got a call about a theft of gas and merchandise from a Fort Qu’Appelle Service Station, and the investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen from Regina.
About 90 minutes later, police came across a suspicous vehicle on Highway 310, north of Balcarres, and tried to stop it, but the vehicle fled, and a spike belt had to be used.
Thomas Chartrand faces five charges, and will be back in Regina Provincial Court tomorrow (THURS).
