Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced more help for more Canadians hit economically by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In his daily briefing in Ottawa, Trudeau says the measures include topping up the pay of essential workers, and expand the Canada Emergency Response benefit to people making up to $1000 a month, and seasonal workers who’s E.I is about to run out.
Trudeau also says he’ll be speaking with the premiers tomorrow (Thu) to discuss how to improve conditions in long term care facilities, and boost wages to workers in them.
