A fire ban is in effect once again for the R.M.s of Wallace and Orkney.

Yorkton Fire Chief Trevor Morrissey says, in an email, the reason for implementing the ban is high winds and extreme fire conditions.

It was yesterday (Tues) that the original ban for the R.M.s of Wallace and Orkney as well as the City of Yorkton had been lifted after being in place over the long weekend.
