It will be a different Golden Sheaf Award gala this year, as the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancelation of this year’s Yorkton Film Festival, which was to have been held this weekend.
However, the awards will be handed out next month, as YFF executive director Randy Goulden says a “virtual gala” will be broadcast on Access Television, and streamed on the Access website.
Goulden says over 280 films were submitted for this year’s festival, with 92 earning Golden Sheaf nominations.
