Saskatchewan’s Chief Medical Health Officer is warning residents that attending large public gatherings increases the chance of contracting COVID-19.
In addition, Dr. Saqib Shahab says not knowing who people may have been in contact with will make contact tracing and public health follow up difficult.
The warning comes after a large anti-racism rally was held at the Saskatchewan Legislature, with more rallies anticipated in other communities.
The limit on indoor gatherings will increase to 15 and for outdoor gatherings up to 30 on Monday (June 8).
