A step forward for the City of Melville’s pool replacement project. City Council approved a motion to sign off on an agreement with the province to receive over $655-thousand in funding through the Municipal Economic Enhancement Program. City Council also needs to fill out a form detailing how the funds will be used and write a letter supporting the project. Finance Director Lynsey Swanson noted the project must be completed and funds spent no later than March 31, 2022, but the 2-million dollar project is expected to be done by next year.
