Grande Prairie Man Sentenced on Drug, Weapon and Firearm Charges

A Grande Prairie man arrested in Yorkton last month, on drug, weapon, and driving charges, has admitted his guilt.
In Yorkton today (WED), 29-year-old Simon De Lima pled guilty to nine charges, including Flight from a Peace Officer, Possessing a Firearm While Prohibited, and Possession of Crystal Meth, and was sentenced to a total of 25 months in jail, along with a three-year driving prohibition, and a ten-year firearm ban.
On June 16th, Yorkton RCMP were called to be on the lookout for an erratic driver.
When they pulled over the stolen vehicle, they seized a loaded firearm, ammunition, knives, illicit drugs, and drug paraphernalia.
