New Court Date For A Punnichy-District Man

A new court date has been set, for a Punnichy-district man facing several charges in connection with a vehicle theft in Regina late last year.

On December 10th, 38-year-old George Longman and 30-year-old Chantelle Bird, of Regina, were arrested after the vehicle’s owner contacted On-Star, who immobilized it, allowing police to make the arrests.
Longman is currently in custody on those charges, as well as separate charges, out of Saskatoon, and a bail hearing has been set for August 4th, in Saskatoon.
Bird pled guilty to Theft of a Motor Vehicle in January, and was sentenced to 99 days in jail, followed by 18 months of probation.
