New court date set for Grenfell man charged in Regina shooting

A Grenfell man arrested August 22nd, in connection with a shooting in Regina earlier this month, was back in court yesterday (WED).

On August 3rd, Regina police responded to a report of a weapons offence involving a firearm on the 34-hundred block of Dewdney Avenue, where they found a 24-year-old man who was the victim of an apparent shooting..

A later search of a home on the 14-hundred block of Elphinstone Street resulted in the seizure of firearms and ammunition, and charges laid against several others, including the victim, and a warrant was issued for 28-year-old Jessie Vaughn Gambler.

Gambler is charged with Attempted Murder and numerous firearm offences, and he was remains in custody, to appear in Regina again next Monday (21st).
