Virden RCMP are looking for a 4-year-old boy after a mysterious phone call was made.
On Thursday (Oct.22), RCMP received a report that a boy, who identified himself as Jason, phoned the Virden Health Centre for a doctor after attempts to wake up his mother did not work.
The clinic employee then told Jason to get assistance from a neighbour; they could hear Jason get his winter clothes on, walk outside in the snow and knocked on two doors, but nobody answered.
While asking Jason if his mom had a car and what was the licence plate number, the call – which came from a blocked number – was disconnected and it was at this point police were notified.
At this time, RCMP are not sure where Jason is from, and anyone with information can call the Virden detachment at 204-748-2046.
