Extreme cold warnings are in effect for parts of our region, including Preeceville, Canora, Kamsack, Wynyard, Foam Lake, Humboldt and Hudson Bay. An arctic ridge of high pressure has allowed for a very cold air mass from the north to sink over portions of southern and central Saskatchewan. Along with winds of 10 to 20 km/h, extreme wind chill values of -40 or colder will occur into this morning, with another shot of extreme cold tonight.
