Remaining Funds in Manitoba’s “Safe Schools Fund” Allocated to Schools on a Per-Pupil Basis in 2021-22 Academic Year

Education Minister Cliff Cullen says it is important to provide the best learning environment for students, while meeting the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

To that end, the Manitoba government has announced that the province’s “Safe Schools Fund” will provide over 154 million dollars in support funding for the 2020-21 school year.

As of January 31st, just under 14 million dollars has been put toward learning and technology, while another 13.3 million has been in the area of health and safety.

The government says any funds remaining in the “Safe Schools Fund” will be allocated to schools in the 2021-22 academic year, on a per-student basis.
