Einarson & Team Canada defend Scotties title in Calgary

Kerri Einarson won a second straight Canadian women’s curling championship with a 9-7 win over Ontario’s Rachel Homan in Sunday’s final.

Einarson and her team which include’s Maryfield’s Val Sweeting became the first team to win back-to-back titles at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts since Homan in 2013 and 2014.

The Curling Canada’s Season of Champions in the Calgary curling bubble now shifts to the Tim Hortons’ Brier which kicks off on Friday night
